AluK GB has launched the first AluK Design Studio in the City of London.
The AluK Design Studio is a space for collaboration, networking, education, and interaction, bringing AluK’s range of curtain walling, window, and door systems to the heart of London and the international architectural community.
In April, over 100 architects, contractors, and designers attended the launch evenings, experiencing the new product demonstration space and getting a first look at the latest innovations in aluminium building systems.
Guests explored emerging technologies with interactive demonstrations of virtual reality (VR) technology and a 3D pen competition. There was also a 3D printer in action, creating models of AluK products.
Guests attending on the 6th were treated to an informative discussion with Peter Barbalov, a Partner at Farrells, and Professor Tim Broyd, Chair in Built Environment Foresight at UCL. The following evening, Dirk Krolikowski of DKFS Architects gave a fascinating presentation on digital prototyping and its use in construction.
Russell Yates, Managing Director, AluK GB said: ‘The Design Studio is the ideal space for architects, contractors and designers. Here, they will be able to see and interact with various full size AluK products, as well as discuss design, installation and bespoke project requirements with our expert team of designers and technicians.’
The AluK Design Studio opened to the public on Monday 11th April; find out more on the dedicated site.
