Architect Andrew Bromberg has revealed his plans for a striking new building in Beijing.
Phase 3C, part of the China World Trade Center complex, is a gleaming structure with undulating layers sandwiched with greenery – and a sledding hill.
The hill, which curves around the building’s expansive roof gardens, will be bordered by trees and covered in fake snow during winter, complementing the Olympic-sized skating rink in the heart of the building.
The multi-layered building houses retail space, art studios, and a variety of interesting facilities (such as a rock-climbing wall and an organic farm), while it will also eventually act as an infrastructure hub.
Phase 3C is already attracting international attention, having won ‘Best Future Project’ at the MIPIM Awards.
